Yesterday we headed back to Moreton Morrell for something a little different, spending the day photographing the BHMS Miniature Horse Show.
Miniature horses might be small in stature, but there was certainly nothing miniature about the enthusiasm, preparation and pride on display. With beautifully turned-out horses, smartly presented handlers and a packed programme of classes, there was plenty going on throughout the day and no shortage of photographic opportunities.
One of the great things about photographing a show like this is the sheer variety. From carefully posed moments in the ring to those little expressions and interactions that happen in between classes, there is always something worth pointing a camera at. And, as anyone who has spent time around miniature horses will know, they certainly aren't short of personality!
Moreton Morrell is a venue we know extremely well, but every event has its own character, and the BHMS show was no exception. It was lovely to see so many beautifully presented horses and to catch up with familiar faces while meeting plenty of new ones too.
Congratulations to all of the competitors, class winners and champions, and a big thank you to everyone who stopped for a chat during the day.
