On 17th June, Cholmondeley Castle was the spectacular backdrop for the fifth Cholmondeley Pageant of Power 2012. For the weekend, the grounds of the castle were turned into a petrol-head’s vision of heaven! For three days, assorted sports cars (historic & modern), three wheelers and motorbikes took to the circuit to compete in time trials.

We were fortunate enough to have been invited along to provide corporate hospitality photographs on the start line. These photos are now online in a secure gallery – the password is the name of the company. I have to say, what a delight it was to work for the company – their staff were nothing short of brilliant to work with and it was clear that they were enjoying themselves immensely.

Of course, being motor sport event photographers, we took the opportunity to sneak in some shots some of the action too. The activities weren’t limited to the track – there were displays of aerobatics in the air and frantic action of powerboats and jet skis cavorting on the mere. This was our first outing to CPoP and it is an incredible event. There was a stunning variety of machinery on display – it is a real must for all petrol enthusiasts. Some of the cars had to be seen to be believed – ranging from shiny, new Aston Martins valued well in excess of £1,000,000 through to old racing machines with a massive 42 litre engine (and wooden wheels!). Even the course cars were stunning new Bentleys!
