The Midland Karting Championships were held at Rissington Kart Club and we were delighted to be there on Sunday as the club’s official photographer. What an action-packed, incident filled day it turned out to be! In all the years we’ve been photographing the action at Rissy, I cannot recall a day with more red flags.
It was a bad omen when, in the first race of the day, one of the Cadets came through the tyre wall had hit Anita, my wife! Thankfully no one was hurt – just a few bumps and bruises. This seemed to set the theme for the day, unfortunately, and there were a huge number of racing incidents – with several karts ending up the wrong way up in many races. Thankfully everyone walked away from the accidents.
The photos from the day have now been uploaded to our karting gallery. Those that bought pictures on the day will find copies of them on our Facebook page, so don’t forget to go and tag yourself.

I am afraid we only keep photos for two years and so they are long since deleted.
